Sgt. Stephanie Shannon launched a NEW magazine column the 'Voices of Veterans,' where she is will author articles and host candid discussions with interviewees in hopes to bring awareness to the plethora 
of issues veterans face along with providing solutions. 

VOV will feature the voices of US veterans in an unique and  uncensored manner. As a PTSD survivor 
herself, she lived undiagnosed for 20 years after serving an eight year enlistment contract and in 
Desert Storm, Operation Desert Shield and Persian Gulf War I 1990-1991. 

Sgt. Shannon, experienced Military Sexual Assault and was afflicted with the Gulf War Illness, 
but now devotes her time to helping others through her non profit
 Michigan Women Veterans Empowerment. She'll be discussing resources and healing 
methods for trauma survivors and focus on empowering veterans in the 8 dimensions of wellness in 
 upcoming articles for Honeysuckle.
